Joshua Boyko made 30 saves to complete the shutout and led the Aurora Tigers to a 3-0 win against the Trenton Golden Hawks. Aurora was led by Drake Board, who grabbed one goal. Board scored on the power play 16:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora. The Tigers had taken the advantage when Trenton's Brandon Marinelli got sent off for cross checking. Ryan Shaw picked up the assist. Aurora put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Golden Hawks to score on any of their three power plays. The Golden Hawks incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
