Chard's goals lift Trenton to 3-0 victory over AuroraDuncan Memorial Wed, Dec 09, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Trenton Golden Hawks relied on the scoring touch of Jordan Chard, who netted two goals, to beat the Aurora Tigers, 3-0. Chard scored on the power play at 18:55 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Trenton and again while 15:34 into the third to make the score 2-0 Trenton.Trenton was boosted by Jackson McIntosh, who turned in a shutout with 27 saves. McIntosh certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.03 entering the contest. The Golden Hawks managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Trenton finished below its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. Trenton also got a goal from Danny Hanlon as well. More assists for Trenton came via Adam Clements, who had two and Mitch Emerson and Ben Scheel, who each chipped in one. Aurora could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Tigers average 3.1 goals per game. The Golden Hawks registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Alex Fotinos made 23 saves for Aurora on 25 shots. The Tigers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
