Dorazio nets hat trick, leads St. Michaels to 7-2 win over Oakville

The Oakville Blades could not stop the St. Michaels Buzzers' A.J. Dorazio, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-2 win.

Dorazio's first goal came 2:58 into the second period. He then added goals at 10:09 into the third and at 14:43 into the third.

Oakville's power play was ineffective against St. Michaels' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Buzzers' goal total was higher than their season average. St. Michaels has scored at the pace of 3.4 goals per game during the current campaign. The Buzzers struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 26 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.

St. Michaels additionally got points from Mark Paolini, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Sean Kohler, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. St. Michaels also got a goal from Cameron Searles as well. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Luke Branco, who had two, Thomas Beretta, who had three, and David Martino, Mike Pellegrini, Finn Evans, Dalton Barnes, and Cameron Wright, who contributed one each.

St. Michaels was unable to stop the Blades from sending pucks towards the net, and Oakville eventually piled up 44 shots on goal.

Jacob McGrath made 42 saves for the Buzzers on 44 shots. St. Michaels registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Michael Botiz took the loss and made 22 saves before being replaced by Brendan McGlynn who made one save. The Blades incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
