Aurora falls to Trenton in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Keaton Ratcliffe gave the Trenton Golden Hawks a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Aurora Tigers when he scored 2:42 into the extra period.

Aurora was stymied by Trenton's netminder Daniel Urbani, who stopped 32 shots during the victory. Urbani managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.59 prior to the game.

The Golden Hawks' penalty kill excelled, as Trenton gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

The Golden Hawks stifled the Tigers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Trenton's offense rang up 41 shots on Aurora's net.

Trenton also got a goal from Liam Morgan as well. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Brandon Marinelli, Jordan Chard, Jordan DaSilva, and Curtis Harvey, who each chipped in one.

The Tigers did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Aurora averages 3.1 goals per game. The Tigers forced the Golden Hawks goalie Urbani to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Aurora was led by Evan Kearns, who scored the team's only goal. Kearns scored 13:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora. Drake Board picked up the assist.

Trenton incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Alex Fotinos rejected 39 shots on goal for the Tigers. Aurora incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
