Oakville downs Toronto Patriots in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Oakville Blades pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Toronto Patriots Patriots on a clutch goal by Patrick Kudla.

Oakville was led by Kudla, who racked up one goal. Kudla scored 3:04 into to make the score 4-3 Oakville. Josh Kosack picked up the assist.

The Blades' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Toronto Patriots power plays. Toronto Patriots was unable to stop Oakville from sending pucks towards the net, and the Blades eventually piled up 42 shots on goal.

Oakville also got points from Oliver Benwel, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Oakville included Tyler Rollo and Drew Worrad, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Oakville were Jackson Bales, who had one and Brendan Doherty and Ryan Garvey, who contributed two each.

The Patriots put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Oakville to score on any of its four power plays. Toronto Patriots kept the Blades' goalie busy throughout the game, and Michael Botiz made 33 saves on 36 shots.

The Patriots were led by Jeremy Pullara, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Pullara scored 19:46 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Louis DiMatteo assisted on the tally. Toronto Patriots additionally got points from DiMatteo, who also had one goal and one assist. Nicholas Ursitti also scored for Toronto Patriots. In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Mario Ferraro, Logan Blaser, and Connor Beck, who each chipped in one.

Oakville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jacob Standen recorded 38 saves for Toronto Patriots. The Patriots incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
