Huge game by Morgan boosts Trenton over Newmarket, 4-1

Behind a great game by Liam Morgan, who had two goals and two assists, the Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the Newmarket Hurricanes, 4-1.

Morgan's tallies came on the power play at 12:48 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Trenton and 19:24 into the third to make the score 4-1 Trenton.

Trenton was led by goalie Daniel Urbani, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Urbani certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.62 entering the contest.

Trenton additionally got points from Jordan Chard, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Blayne Oliver also scored for Trenton. In addition, Trenton received assists from Brandon Marinelli, Mitch Emerson, Spencer Herbst, and Danny Hanlon, who contributed one each.

Newmarket was led by Christian Dedonato, who scored the team's only goal. Dedonato scored on the power play 3:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Newmarket. The Hurricanes earned a power play opportunity when Chays Ruddy was put in the box for charging. Todd Winder picked up the assist.

The Golden Hawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Connor Ryckman made 12 saves for Newmarket on 15 shots. The Hurricanes incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
