Wellington downs Toronto Patriots in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Wellington Dukes' Luc Brown scored 2:41 into overtime to beat the Toronto Patriots Patriots, 3-2 (OT).

Brown was all over the ice for Wellington, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Brown scored the first of his two goals at 8:08 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Wellington. Dylan Mascarin picked up the assist. Brown's next tally made the score 3-2 Wellington with 17:19 left in overtime. Jacob Panetta assisted on the tally.

The Dukes forced Toronto Patriots goalie Jacob Standen to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Wellington also got a goal from Ben Sokay as well. Other players who recorded assists for Wellington were Justin Bean and Jake Falcao, who each chipped in one.

The Patriots stifled Wellington's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Toronto Patriots was helped by Connor Beck, who racked up one goal. Beck scored short handed 10:50 into the second period to make the score 1-1. The Patriots were on a disadvantage when Michael Siddall went off the ice for high sticking. Mario Ferraro picked up the assist. Jake Harris also scored for Toronto Patriots. In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Andrew Green and Cole Purboo, who contributed one each.

The Dukes' Anthony Popovich stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Wellington incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Standen rejected 32 shots on goal for Toronto Patriots. The Patriots incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
