Lavoie's goals lift Trenton to 7-1 victory over Lindsay

Kevin Lavoie was all over the ice for the Trenton Golden Hawks, as he tallied two goals in Trenton's 7-1 win over the Lindsay Muskies.

Lavoie found the back of the net 6:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Trenton and again while 8:47 into the first to make the score 2-0 Trenton.

The Golden Hawks kept Lindsay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Graham Dynes made 42 saves on 49 shots. Trenton's goal total was higher than its season average. The Golden Hawks average 4.0 goals per game.

Trenton also got points from Chays Ruddy, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Hunter Fargey, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Trenton included Mitch Emerson, Jordan Chard, and Nicholas Turenko, who each put in one. More assists for Trenton came via Ryan Smith, who had two, Adam Clements, who had three, and Liam Morgan, Blayne Oliver, Ben Scheel, Spencer Herbst, Lucas Brown, and Nick Boddy, who each chipped in one.

Daniel Urbani recorded 19 saves for Trenton. The Golden Hawks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Muskies totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Lindsay ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Cameron Robinson was ejected from the game.
