Orangeville downs Burlington in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Orangeville Flyers pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Burlington Cougars on a clutch goal by Ethan Wiseman.

Orangeville's Nicholas Latinovich was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 30 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Latinovich will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.98.

The Flyers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Orangeville forced Burlington goalie Andrew Lee to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Orangeville also got a goal from Colin Rigney as well. In addition, Orangeville received assists from Josh DeFarias and Lucas Smilsky, who each chipped in one.

The Cougars' offense operated below their season average. Burlington averages 4.0 goals per game. The Cougars' offense rang up 31 shots on the Flyers' net.

Burlington was led by David Thomson, who scored the team's only goal. Thomson scored on the power play 1:12 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Burlington. Jordan Peacock picked up the assist.

Orangeville registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Andrew Lee made 31 saves for the Cougars on 33 shots. Burlington incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
