Stouffville downs Kingston in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Ryan DaSilva gave the Stouffville Spirit a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Kingston Voyageurs when he scored 2:58 into the extra period.

Alex Gilmour had two goals to lead Stouffville to victory. Gilmour found the back of the net 16:04 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Stouffville and again while on the power play 19:38 into the first to make the score 3-1 Stouffville.

Jack Varga also scored for Stouffville. In addition, Stouffville received assists from Sam Hu, Max Novick, Calvin Martin, Cameron Lintner, and Stefan Palatsidis, who each chipped in one.

Kingston's offense rang up 57 shots on the Spirit's net.

The Voyageurs were led by Brandon Nadeau, who had one goal and one assist. Nadeau scored on the power play 2:47 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Stouffville. Kingston had gained a power play chance when Kyle Thomas was whistled for high sticking. Reid Russell picked up the assist. Kingston also had goals scored by Colin Tonge and Ian Harris, who scored one goal each. More assists for Kingston came via Jacob Hanlon, Anthony Rinaldi, and Jack Zielinski, who contributed one each.

Stouffville's Aaron Taylor stopped 54 shots out of the 57 that he faced. The Spirit totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play. Stouffville ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Christopher Brill-Morgan was ejected from the game. Zach Springer recorded 21 saves for the Voyageurs. Kingston incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
