Toronto Jr. Canadiens rolls over Toronto Patriots, 8-2

The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-2 win over the Toronto Patriots Patriots.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was led by Eric Eremita, who registered one goal and one assist. Eremita scored 19:24 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Jake Joffe provided the assist.

The Junior Canadiens forced Patriots' goalies to work all game long, launching 39 shots and forcing 31 saves. Sean OReilly made seven stops and Jacob Standen made 24. Toronto Jr. Canadiens stifled Toronto Patriots' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Junior Canadiens surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Toronto Jr. Canadiens has scored at the pace of 3.1 goals per game during the current campaign.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got points from Adam DeLuca, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Graeme MacLean, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Lucas Colalillo, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also had goals scored by Lee Lapid, George Novachis, Justin Maiolino, and Nico Gonzalez, who scored one goal each. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Andrew Pucci, who had one and Anthony Trujillo, Sal Filice, and Nicholas Jarzabek, who contributed two each.

The Patriots managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Toronto Patriots finished below its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. The Patriots' offense rang up 37 shots on the Junior Canadiens' net.

Daniel Lopapa rejected 35 shots on goal for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Junior Canadiens incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Toronto Patriots registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. For the Patriots, Noah Robinson was ejected from the game.
