The Orangeville Flyers tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the North York Rangers held on for a 3-2 victory. North York made the score 3-1 on a goal by Ryan Hunt at 7:15 in the third period, and Orangeville got as close as 3-2 when Derek Topatigh scored 19:10 into the third period. The Rangers got the win thanks to a great game by Nick Campoli, who had two goals and one assist. Campoli scored the first of his two goals at 11:15 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Louis Kereakou picked up the assist. Campoli's next tally made the score 2-1 North York with 15:17 left in the third period. Keegan Blasby provided the assist. North York's offense rang up 36 shots on the Flyers' net. More assists for North York came via Kyle Clarke and Christian Mitri, who each chipped in one. Orangeville's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three North York power plays. The Flyers kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Gianluca Baggetta made 39 saves on 41 shots. Orangeville also got a goal from Zack Vukosa as well. Other players who recorded assists for Orangeville were James Ranson and Zack Lyons, who contributed one each. North York incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Nicholas Latinovich recorded 33 saves for Orangeville. The Flyers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
