Trenton downs Stouffville, 5-0

Mitch Emerson grabbed one point to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 5-0 victory over the Stouffville Spirit.

Trenton kept Stouffville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Aaron Taylor made 35 saves on 40 shots. The defensemen of the Golden Hawks were also effective in the Spirit's zone, and came away with two goals.

Trenton also got points from Adam Clements, who also tallied two goals and one assist to lead the team in points and Lucas Brown, who also had one goal and one assist. Trenton also got a goal from Jordan Chard as well. More assists for Trenton came via Nick Boddy, who had two and Chays Ruddy, Liam Morgan, Kevin Lavoie, Blayne Oliver, Danny Hanlon, and Hunter Fargey, who each chipped in one.

Stouffville's offense operated below its season average. The Spirit put an average of 2.6 pucks into the net per game.

Daniel Urbani rejected 18 shots on goal for Trenton. The Golden Hawks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Stouffville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors and had no power play opportunities. For the Spirit, Kyle Linney was ejected from the game.
