Buffalo beats Toronto Patriots 6-3 as Biasillo gets hat trick

Joshua Biasillo netted a hat trick to lead the Buffalo Jr. Sabres over the Toronto Patriots Patriots, 6-3.

Biasillo notched his first tally 15:25 into the second period. He then added goals at 2:58 into the third and at 19:23 into the third.

Buffalo forced Toronto Patriots' goalies to work all game long, totaling 31 shots and forcing 25 saves. Sean OReilly made nine stops and Jacob Standen made 16.

Buffalo also got points from Andrew Pizzo, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Buffalo included Christopher Berger and Zach Evancho, who scored one goal each. In addition, Buffalo received assists from Wilson Vershay and Brenden Dunning, who each chipped in one and Christian DiFelice, Nicholas Bondra, David Baskerville, and Griffin Lunn, who contributed two each.

The Patriots were helped by Connor Beck, who racked up one goal and one assist. Beck scored on the power play 10:46 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Buffalo. Toronto Patriots had gotten the advantage when the Jr. Sabres' Dylan Seitz was sent off for elbowing. Mario Ferraro provided the assist. Toronto Patriots additionally got points from Michael Siddall, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jake Harris also scored for Toronto Patriots. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Patriots were Noah Robinson and Jeremy Pullara, who each chipped in one.

Tucker Weppner made 14 saves for Buffalo on 17 shots. The Jr. Sabres incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Patriots incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
