Toronto Patriots survives Milton comeback, wins 4-2

The Milton Icehawks tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Toronto Patriots Patriots held on for a 4-2 victory.

A goal by Jeremy Pullara put Toronto Patriots up 4-1 in the third period, but Milton pulled to within two on Philip Lagunov's tally 19:18 into the third period.

The Patriots were sparked by Michael Siddall, who finished with one goal. Siddall scored 4:01 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Toronto Patriots. Jordan Anderson provided the assist.

Toronto Patriots forced the Icehawks goalie Marcus Semiao to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots.

Others who scored for Toronto Patriots included Mario Ferraro and Noah Robinson, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Patriots were Tyler Currie, Connor Beck, Louis DiMatteo, and Nick Stuckless, who contributed one each.

Milton kept the Patriots' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jacob Standen made 35 saves on 37 shots.

The Icehawks were helped by Troy Taylor, who grabbed one goal. Taylor scored 10:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Milton. Chris Cobham assisted on the tally. In addition, Milton received assists from William Santangeli and Brett Markham, who each chipped in one.

Toronto Patriots incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Semiao recorded 44 saves for Milton. The Icehawks incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For Milton, Joseph Keenan was ejected from the game.
