Trenton rolls over Toronto Jr. Canadiens, 5-0

The Trenton Golden Hawks were firing on all cylinders against the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens, and when the final buzzer sounded Golden Hawks emerged with a 5-0 win.

Kevin Lavoie had one goal and two assists to lead Trenton. Lavoie scored 1:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Trenton. Liam Morgan provided the assist.

The Golden Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Toronto Jr. Canadiens power plays.

Trenton additionally got points from Morgan, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points and Spencer Herbst, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Hunter Fargey also scored for Trenton. More assists for Trenton came via Lucas Brown, who had two and Danny Hanlon and Nick Boddy, who contributed one each.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Junior Canadiens put an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game.

Daniel Urbani recorded 15 saves for Trenton. The Golden Hawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Toronto Jr. Canadiens' Daniel Lopapa stopped 22 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Junior Canadiens incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
