Toronto Patriots squeaks by Stouffville, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Toronto Patriots Patriots escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Stouffville Spirit.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Nicholas Ursitti at 6:32 of the second period.

Toronto Patriots was led by Nico Gonzalez, who finished with one goal and one assist. Gonzalez scored 5:32 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Toronto Patriots. Jeremy Pullara picked up the assist.

The Patriots forced Stouffville goalie Aaron Taylor to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

Toronto Patriots additionally got points from Christian Bortoluzzi, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Connor Beck also scored for Toronto Patriots. In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Jack Lyons, who had one.

Toronto Patriots was unable to stop the Spirit from sending pucks towards the net, and Stouffville eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

The Spirit were helped by Nathan Hudgin, who had one goal. Hudgin scored 11:59 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Toronto Patriots. Christopher Brill-Morgan assisted on the tally. Stouffville also got a goal from Cameron Lintner as well. Other players who recorded assists for Stouffville were Jackson Savery and Connor Evans, who each chipped in one.

Jacob Standen made 41 saves for the Patriots on 43 shots. Toronto Patriots incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Stouffville's Taylor stopped 40 shots out of the 43 that he faced. The Spirit incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
