The Oakville Blades and the Georgetown Raiders skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

Oakville and Georgetown could not settle their match and fought to a 2-2 tie.

The Blades' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Georgetown power plays. Oakville could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Blades put an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game. Oakville forced the Raiders goalie Andrew Masters to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

The Blades were helped by Josh Kosack, who tallied one goal. Kosack scored 4:51 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Bryce Misley assisted on the tally. Jackson Bales also scored for Oakville. More assists for Oakville came via Brayden Sampson and Christian Rajic, who each chipped in one.

Georgetown was often in penalty trouble, totaling eight minors and one major for 31 minutes in penalty time. The Raiders surpassed its season average of 23.0 penalty minutes per game. Georgetown stifled Oakville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Raiders were led by William Santangeli, who had one goal and one assist. Santangeli scored 14:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Georgetown. Josh Dickinson picked up the assist. Georgetown also got a goal from Bailey Molella as well. Other players who recorded assists for Georgetown were Ashur Elliot, who had one.

Brendan McGlynn made 20 saves for the Blades on 22 shots. Oakville totaled 33 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-7 on the power play. For the Blades, Brendan Doherty and Daniel Jelic were ejected from the contest. Masters rejected 37 shots on goal for Georgetown. The Raiders ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matthew Thom was ejected from the game.
