Low's big game bests Smiling Penguins in 5-1 Villains winKillarney Rink 1 Sat, Jul 11, 2015 Villains' Johnny Low had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-1 win over Smiling Penguins. Low's tallies came at 18:11 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Villains and 10:26 into the second to make the score 4-1 Villains.The win gave Villains a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. Villains stifled Smiling Penguins' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Villains additionally got points from Stephen Tetreau, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Villains also got a goal from David Lo as well. In addition, Villains received assists from Bill Truong and Jason Lo, who each chipped in one. Smiling Penguins' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Villains power plays. Smiling Penguins was led by Chung Wai Tam, who scored the team's only goal. Tam scored 16:56 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Kristoffer Fransson picked up the assist. Villains' Gary Ng stopped 16 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Villains incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jag Chahal rejected 21 shots on goal for Smiling Penguins. Smiling Penguins incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
