Boulevard Boys beats Coachs Corner 7-5 as Caswell gets hat trick

Tyler Caswell netted a hat trick to lead Boulevard Boys over Coachs Corner, 7-5.

Caswell's first goal came 6:32 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:15 into the second and at 10:35 into the second.

The win gave Boulevard Boys a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Boulevard Boys kept Coachs Corner's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason Granholm made 25 saves on 32 shots.

Boulevard Boys also got points from Patrick Payne, who also registered one goal and two assists and Andrew Lu, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Max Sydorchuk also scored for Boulevard Boys. In addition, Boulevard Boys received assists from Kevin Walter, Alec Rakis, and Marcus Houck, who contributed two each.

Boulevard Boys was unable to stop Coachs Corner from sending pucks towards the net, and Coachs Corner eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Coachs Corner was led by Lucas Bedford, who finished with one goal and two assists. Bedford scored 3:06 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Coachs Corner. Gregory Johnson assisted on the tally. Coachs Corner additionally got points from Jordan Sullivan, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Andrew Rehtlane, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Coachs Corner included Nick Johnston and Sam Park, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Coachs Corner were Tristan Jones, who had one.

Kevin Cameron rejected 27 shots on goal for Boulevard Boys. Boulevard Boys avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored one goal off of two power plays. Coachs Corner incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
