East Vancouver survives The Moose comeback, wins 4-3Trout Lake Rink 1 Tue, Jul 21, 2015 The Moose almost clawed its way back from a three-goal deficit, but East Vancouver managed to pull out a 4-3 win in the end. East Vancouver led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when East Vancouver's Vik Saggu scored at 14:25 in the first period to put East Vancouver up 4-1. The win gave East Vancouver a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. Patrick John had two goals and one assist to lead East Vancouver. John scored the first of his two goals at 9:34 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Saggu provided the assist. John's next tally made the score 2-1 East Vancouver with 7:45 left in the first period. East Vancouver had taken the advantage when The Moose's Tristan Jones got sent off for tripping. Jonathan Randazzo picked up the assist. East Vancouver additionally got points from Saggu, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. East Vancouver also got a goal from Daniel Chieu as well. More assists for East Vancouver came via Arvinder Benga and Tony Bao, who each chipped in one. The Moose's offense rang up 40 shots on East Vancouver's net. The Moose was helped by Andrew Lucarino, who racked up one goal. Lucarino scored 21 seconds into the second period to make the score 4-2 East Vancouver. Sam Marshall provided the assist. The Moose also had goals scored by Kyle Garnett and Steve Koonts, who scored one goal each. In addition, The Moose received assists from Cody Beatch, who had one. Andrew Guolo recorded 37 saves for East Vancouver. East Vancouver totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Francis May made 18 saves for The Moose on 22 shots. The Moose incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
