Johal's hat trick boosts Jello-Shooters over Off Boys, 7-4

Off Boys could not stop Jello-Shooters' Suraj Johal, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-4 win.

Johal's first goal came 6:18 into the second period. He then added goals at 12:59 into the second and at 13:44 into the second.

The win gave Jello-Shooters a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Jello-Shooters' offense rang up 32 shots on Off Boys' net.

Jello-Shooters additionally got points from Linus Lu, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Neil Spencer, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Jello-Shooters also had goals scored by Nick Wong and Markus Lohuaru, who scored one goal each. In addition, Jello-Shooters received assists from Raymond Trinh, Victor Ing, and Raj Johal, who each chipped in two.

The defensemen of Off Boys were also effective in Jello-Shooters' zone, and came away with two goals.

Off Boys was led by Talon Udall, who registered two goals and two assists. Udall scored the first of his two goals at 3:34 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jason Savino assisted on the tally. Udall's next tally made the score 4-1 Off Boys with 10:05 left in the first period. Off Boys had gotten the advantage when Jello-Shooters' Spencer was sent off for hooking. Chris Webb picked up the assist. Off Boys also got points from Webb, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Savino, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Off Boys were Lukas Gawlik, who had one.

Jello-Shooters' Randy Dalit stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Jello-Shooters incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Raymond Chen rejected 25 shots on goal for Off Boys. Off Boys incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
