Shane OBeautys climbed out of a three-goal hole to beat Rebels, 4-3.

Shane OBeautys never led in the game until netting the game winner. Shane OBeautys fell behind 3-0 after a goal by Rebels' Peter Kim at 19:56 in the first period. Shane OBeautys tied things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Colin Mcgrath at 10:57 in the second period. Shane OBeautys netted the game winner at 18:41 in the second period on a goal by Mcgrath.

The win gave Shane OBeautys a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Shane OBeautys got the win behind a great game by Jackson Chandler, who had two goals and two assists. Chandler scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:17 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Rebels. A hooking penalty on Derick Pang had put Shane OBeautys on the power play. Alexander Ormiston assisted on the tally. Chandler's next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 Shane OBeautys with 1:19 left in the second period. Michael Buchan provided the assist.

Shane OBeautys' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Rebels power plays. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.
