Super Saiyans survives Road Warriors comeback, wins 6-4Burnaby Lake Sun, Jul 19, 2015 Road Warriors almost clawed its way back from a three-goal deficit, but Super Saiyans managed to pull out a 6-4 win in the end. Super Saiyans led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Super Saiyans' Alvin Oh scored at 18:53 in the second period to put Super Saiyans up 6-3. The win gave Super Saiyans a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. With four goals and one assist between them, Jonathan Freeston and Oh teamed up to power Super Saiyans' offense. Freeston racked up two goals and Oh also added two goals and one assist. Super Saiyans got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game. Super Saiyans also got points from Oh, who also had two goals and one assist, Eric Siu, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Wes Liu, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Super Saiyans received assists from Kevin Sim, who had two and Lewis Chan, Nelson Ma, Kevin Deacon, and Nicholas Lo, who contributed one each. Road Warriors did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Road Warriors was led by Brent Magee, who registered two goals. Magee scored the first of his two goals at 10:48 into the first period to make the score 1-1. John Chieng assisted on the tally. Magee's next tally made the score 6-4 Super Saiyans with 56 seconds left in the second period. Linus Lu picked up the assist. Others who scored for Road Warriors included Scott Howard and Devin Turner, who scored one goal each. More assists for Road Warriors came via Chris Williams and Shaun Krahn, who each chipped in one. Lewis Chan made 24 saves for Super Saiyans on 28 shots. Super Saiyans incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Hoi Leung recorded 20 saves for Road Warriors. Road Warriors registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
