Teambag falls to Road Warriors in overtime, 8-7 (OT)

Road Warriors' Linus Lu scored 2:42 into overtime to beat Teambag, 8-7 (OT).

The win gave Road Warriors a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Lu was all over the ice for Road Warriors, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Lu scored the first of his two goals at 6:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Road Warriors. Shaun Krahn assisted on the tally. Lu's next tally made the score 8-7 Road Warriors with 17:18 left in overtime. Scott Howard picked up the assist.

Road Warriors' penalty kill excelled, as Road Warriors gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays.

Road Warriors forced Teambag goalie Kieran Wasylyshyn to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Road Warriors got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Road Warriors additionally got points from Brent Magee, who also registered one goal and two assists. Road Warriors also got a goal from Nathan Gibbs as well. Other players who recorded assists for Road Warriors were Chris Williams, who had two.

Road Warriors was unable to stop Teambag from sending pucks towards the net, and Teambag eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Teambag was helped by Chenier Hundal, who finished with two goals. Hundal scored the first of his two goals at 18:38 into the first period to make the score 4-2 Road Warriors. Kevin Cameron assisted on the tally. Hundal's next tally made the score 7-5 Road Warriors with 11:55 left in the second period. Colin Wind picked up the assist. Teambag also got points from Nathan Fretz, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Cameron, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Anton Verenitch, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Michael Zima, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points.

Hoi Leung recorded 31 saves for Road Warriors. Road Warriors incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Kieran Wasylyshyn made 24 saves for Teambag on 32 shots. Teambag incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
