Chou's big game bests Crown Royals in 6-3 Honey Badgers winTrout Lake Rink 1 Sun, Jul 19, 2015 Honey Badgers' Rick Chou had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-3 win over Crown Royals. Chou scored at 3:07 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Honey Badgers and again while on the power play 18:40 into the second to make the score 6-2 Honey Badgers.The win gave Honey Badgers a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. Crown Royals was unable to stop Honey Badgers from sending pucks towards the net, and Honey Badgers eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Honey Badgers was effective with a man advantage, and put in three goals while on the power play. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. Honey Badgers also got points from David Hui, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Justin Foo, who also had one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Honey Badgers included Curtis Hughesman and Mark Kusec, who scored one goal each. In addition, Honey Badgers received assists from Thomas Cheng, Paul Chang, and Bryan Panchuk, who contributed one each. Crown Royals was led by Aminpreet Ghuman, who registered two goals. Ghuman scored the first of his two goals at 7:18 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Iggy Ghuman picked up the assist. Ghuman's next tally made the score 6-3 Honey Badgers with 30 seconds left in the second period. Kris Ghuman assisted on the tally. Crown Royals also got a goal from Asa Ghuman as well. More assists for Crown Royals came via Juan Benicky and Sascha Smutny, who each chipped in one. David Sebela recorded 17 saves for Honey Badgers. Honey Badgers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Ryan Ghuman made 28 saves for Crown Royals on 34 shots. Crown Royals incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
