Ramos leads Lougheed over EVU (East Van United), 11-5

Behind a great game by Michael Ramos, who had four goals and two assists, Lougheed defeated EVU (East Van United), 11-5.

Ramos notched his first tally 52 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 2:25 into the second, at 4:27 into the second, and at 15:30 into the second.

The win gave Lougheed a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Lougheed also got points from Mike Vuong, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Brian Keslering, who also had two goals and one assist, and Jay Trinca, who also registered two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Lougheed included Marcus Schalle and Matt Wong, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Lougheed were Gary Chui, who had one, Michael Sakuraba, who had two, and Simon Shyng, who had three.

EVU (East Van United)'s offense rang up 34 shots on Lougheed's net. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

EVU (East Van United) was helped by Mark Rocchetti, who finished with one goal. Rocchetti scored on the power play 11:59 into the first period to make the score 3-3. EVU (East Van United) had gotten the advantage when Lougheed's Shyng was sent off for roughing. Varinder Dosanjh picked up the assist. EVU (East Van United) additionally got points from Stevan Gordic, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. EVU (East Van United) also had goals scored by Tyson Daniels, Steven Busto, and Paul Mander, who each put in one. In addition, EVU (East Van United) received assists from Andrew Hutson, who had one.

Enzo Pesce made 29 saves for Lougheed on 34 shots. Lougheed incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. EVU (East Van United)'s Will Waller stopped 19 shots out of the 30 that he faced. EVU (East Van United) incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
