Daniels nets hat trick, leads EVU (East Van United) to 8-4 win over LougheedKillarney Rink 1 Fri, Jul 17, 2015 Tyson Daniels netted a hat trick to lead EVU (East Van United) over Lougheed, 8-4. Daniels got on the scoresheet 5:43 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:32 into the second and at 14:54 into the second.The win gave EVU (East Van United) a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. EVU (East Van United) stifled Lougheed's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lougheed was unable to stop EVU (East Van United) from sending pucks towards the net, and EVU (East Van United) eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. EVU (East Van United) got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game. EVU (East Van United) additionally got points from Steven Busto, who also racked up two goals and one assist and Roni Barg, who also registered one goal and one assist. Andrew Hutson also scored for EVU (East Van United). More assists for EVU (East Van United) came via Varinder Dosanjh and Mark Rocchetti, who contributed one each and Adam Frado and Paul Mander, who each chipped in two. Lougheed kept EVU (East Van United)'s goalie busy throughout the game, and Will Waller made 29 saves on 33 shots. Lougheed did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Lougheed was led by Matt Wong, who had two goals and one assist. Wong scored the first of his two goals at 6:10 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Mike Vuong picked up the assist. Wong's next tally made the score 7-4 EVU (East Van United) with 2:51 left in the second period. Jay Trinca provided the assist. Lougheed also got points from Simon Shyng, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Lougheed also got a goal from Michael Ramos as well. In addition, Lougheed received assists from Brian Keslering, who had one. EVU (East Van United) incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Lougheed's Enzo Pesce stopped 24 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Lougheed registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
