Punishers falls to Burnaby Chargers in overtime, 4-3 (OT)Trout Lake Rink 1 Wed, Jul 15, 2015 Burnaby Chargers' Adam Davies scored 2:00 into overtime to beat Punishers, 4-3 (OT). The win gave Burnaby Chargers a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. In a losing effort, Punishers was paced by Jeff Huang, who registered two goals. Huang scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 18:54 into the first period to make the score 1-1. A unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Davies had put Punishers on the power play. Roy Shen assisted on the tally. Huang's next tally on the power play made the score 2-1 Punishers with 18:34 left in the second period. Shen provided the assist. Burnaby Chargers was sparked by Davies, who tallied one goal and one assist. Burnaby Chargers did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Burnaby Chargers additionally got points from Brandon Hall, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Burnaby Chargers included Andrew Mosser and Stephen Cabrita, who each put in one. In addition, Burnaby Chargers received assists from Simon Leader, Jared Stacey, and Daniel Josok, who each chipped in one. Punishers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Burnaby Chargers was unable to stop Punishers from sending pucks towards the net, and Punishers eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. Punishers' Lee Carron stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Punishers incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
