Jordan Sullivan racked up one point to lead RamRod to an 8-3 victory over HYP.

The win gave RamRod a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

RamRod's offense rang up 58 shots on HYP's net. RamRod did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up only one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

RamRod also got points from Drew Cronshaw, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Alex Williams, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Andrew Rehtlane, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for RamRod included Steven Lam and Ian Cronshaw, who each put in two.

HYP got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

HYP was helped by Tom Shum, who racked up one goal. Shum scored on the power play 4:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 HYP. HYP earned a power play opportunity when Cronshaw was put in the box for tripping. Keith Ebenal assisted on the tally. HYP additionally got points from Ebenal, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. HYP also got a goal from Leslie Chan as well. More assists for HYP came via Enoch Ho Yan Sun, who had one.

Will Chaster made 13 saves for RamRod on 16 shots. RamRod registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Jerome Ip rejected 50 shots on goal for HYP. HYP incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
