Jonathan Plunet netted a hat trick to lead The Other Guys over RamRod, 10-1.

Plunet's first goal came 2:15 into the first period. He then added goals at 26 seconds into the second and at 5:32 into the second.

The win gave The Other Guys a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Other Guys forced RamRod goalie Kevin Williams to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

The Other Guys also got points from Brett Gibson, who also registered one goal and two assists and Tomas Meredith, who also had one goal and one assist. Max Meredith also scored for The Other Guys. In addition, The Other Guys received assists from Leon Williams, who had one, Stjepan Rogina, who had two, and chris gharakhanian and Sebastian Gharakhanian, who contributed three each.

RamRod did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 11 shots on net to force 10 saves. RamRod did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

RamRod was led by Steven Lam, who scored the team's only goal. Lam scored 9:35 into the first period to make the score 2-1 The Other Guys. Don Wiggins assisted on the tally.

Ted Urbanek rejected 10 shots on goal for The Other Guys. The Other Guys avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of one power plays. Kevin Williams made 26 saves for RamRod on 36 shots. RamRod registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
