Dragon HC's Stephen Tetreau had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 5-2 win over Venom.

Tetreau got on the board by slotting home a short handed goal 8:40 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Dragon HC. Dragon HC was on a disadvantage when Jason Ooi went off the ice for holding stick. Tetreau dished an assist on Brian Choy's goal that made the score 1-0 Dragon HC at 3:17 into the first period. He then added assists on Tj Chase's goal at 18:39 into the first and on Chase's goal at 14:00 into the second.

The win gave Dragon HC a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Dragon HC cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

Wayne Chow also scored for Dragon HC. More assists for Dragon HC came via Jordan Dalessandro, who had one and Kenny Leong, who had two.

Venom was led by Trevor Chang, who registered two goals. Chang scored the first of his two goals at 5:27 into the first period to make the score 1-1. John Duong assisted on the tally. Chang's next tally made the score 2-2 with 16:12 left in the second period. Venom had gained a power play chance when Ooi was whistled for tripping. Eddy Chau picked up the assist. In addition, Venom received assists from Hansen Chong and Nicholas Lo, who contributed one each.

Dragon HC's Bryan Jonas stopped 17 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Dragon HC incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Adriano Fasciglione rejected 15 shots on goal for Venom. Venom incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
