Charlie Drummond netted a hat trick to lead Bears over ZeBros, 5-3.

Drummond got on the scoresheet 14:13 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:20 into the first and at 3:21 into the second.

The win gave Bears a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Bears also got points from Kirk Smith, who also registered one goal and one assist. Maximilien Sturley also scored for Bears. In addition, Bears received assists from Di Horozian, who had two and Anthony Atanasov, Sean Simkus, and Svenga Forstrom, who each chipped in one.

ZeBros was led by Brendon Lui, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Lui scored 19:50 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Bears. Will Tsue assisted on the tally. ZeBros also had goals scored by Shaady Shivji and Sam Najafi, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for ZeBros were Jason Cho, who had one.

Will Chaster made 20 saves for Bears on 23 shots. Bears finished the contest with no penalties and went 1-for-1 with the man advantage. Kyle Wa rejected 21 shots on goal for ZeBros. ZeBros ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
