Dragon HC outlasts Knights, 4-3

Dragon HC and Knights were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Dragon HC made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Tj Chase's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

The win gave Dragon HC a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Dragon HC got the win on the strength of a great game by Chase, who had two goals and one assist. Chase scored the first of his two goals at 8:33 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Dragon HC. Chase's next tally made the score 4-3 Dragon HC with 6:17 left in the second period. Stephen Tetreau picked up the assist.

Dragon HC additionally got points from Tetreau, who also registered one goal and one assist and Aaron Yeung, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Dragon HC came via Wayne Chow and Aman Jhaj, who each chipped in one.

Knights got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Knights was helped by Vince Yeung, who had one goal. Yeung scored 10:29 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Others who scored for Knights included Kaifan Wu and Paul Rakhra, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Knights were Chris Colonia and Justin Law, who contributed one each.

Edward Yee rejected 26 shots on goal for Dragon HC. Dragon HC avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. Wynjhon Ramos made 23 saves for Knights on 27 shots. Knights ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
