Diddy Mao pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over MF Hustlers on a clutch goal by Jamil Hassanali.

The win gave Diddy Mao a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Diddy Mao overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Diddy Mao trailed 4-2 after a goal by MF Hustlers' Amar Hayre at 17:52 in the first period. Diddy Mao tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Hassanali at 18:26 in the second period.

Hassanali had four goals to lead Diddy Mao to victory. Hassanali's first goal came 5:30 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:20 into the second and at 3:50 into the third.

Diddy Mao stifled MF Hustlers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Diddy Mao's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in five goals.

Diddy Mao additionally got points from Kevin Wong, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Diddy Mao received assists from Sam Najafi, who had three.

MF Hustlers got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
