The BigSticks outlasts RMC, 6-4Killarney Rink 1 Tue, Jul 14, 2015 The game between The BigSticks and RMC was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end The BigSticks emerged with a 6-4 win. The BigSticks gained the winning advantage on a goal by John Paydar 14:05 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer. The win gave The BigSticks a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. With four goals and one assist between them, Chad Brewerton and Gavin Gentles teamed up to power The BigSticks' offense. Brewerton had two goals and one assist and Gentles also added two goals. The BigSticks' offense rang up 39 shots on RMC's net. The BigSticks additionally got points from Paydar, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Kurt Brewerton, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for The BigSticks came via Sebastian Lee, who had two and Julien Manac h and David Paydar, who each chipped in one. RMC was led by Stanley HC Ho, who registered two goals and one assist. Ho scored the first of his two goals at 11:12 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Frank Pang provided the assist. Ho's next tally made the score 4-3 RMC with 2:40 left in the first period. Others who scored for RMC included Edmund Chow and James Ujimoto, who scored one goal each. In addition, RMC received assists from Andrew Yamada, Chris Umemura, and Gurbir Gary Gill, who contributed one each. Tyler Norton made 11 saves for The BigSticks on 15 shots. The BigSticks finished the contest with no penalties and went 1-for-2 with the man advantage. Amritpal Gill recorded 33 saves for RMC. RMC incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
