Reservoir Dogz falls to Chopsticks in overtime, 7-6 (OT)Trout Lake Rink 1 Wed, Jul 15, 2015 Chopsticks' andy Tran scored 2:56 into overtime to beat Reservoir Dogz, 7-6 (OT). The win gave Chopsticks a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. Chopsticks overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Chopsticks was down 3-0 after a goal by Reservoir Dogz's Hiroshi Yasuoka at 8:04 in the first period. Chopsticks tied things up at 6-6 on a power play goal by Gord Lee at 13:27 in the second period. Chopsticks took advantage of Reservoir Dogz's penalties, tallying two goals off of three power play opportunities. Tony Trinh also scored for Chopsticks. Other players who recorded assists for Chopsticks were Richard Hoang, who had one, Thanh Ho, who had four, and Victor Le and Edward Lin, who each chipped in two. Reservoir Dogz's offense rang up 31 shots on Chopsticks' net. Reservoir Dogz was led by Adam Racanelli, who tallied two goals and one assist. Racanelli scored the first of his two goals at 3:34 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Reservoir Dogz. Yasuoka picked up the assist. Racanelli's next tally made the score 5-4 Chopsticks with 19:12 left in the second period. Jon Chan assisted on the tally. Reservoir Dogz additionally got points from Yasuoka, who also had one goal and one assist and Chan, who also registered one goal and one assist. Reservoir Dogz also got a goal from Philip Chow as well. In addition, Reservoir Dogz received assists from Eric Lam and Jeff Ng, who contributed one each and Vedran Hrbacek and Geoff Harder, who each chipped in two. Johnny Kan made 25 saves for Chopsticks on 31 shots. Chopsticks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Reservoir Dogz's George Gligoris stopped 22 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Reservoir Dogz incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
