MF Hustlers downs MANIMALS II, 7-2

Issa Kamani finished with two points to lead MF Hustlers to a 7-2 victory over MANIMALS II.

The win gave MF Hustlers a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

MF Hustlers was led by Kamani, who registered one goal and one assist. Kamani scored 14:42 into the first period to make the score 3-1 MF Hustlers. Martin Wong assisted on the tally.

MF Hustlers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. MANIMALS II was unable to stop MF Hustlers from sending pucks towards the net, and MF Hustlers eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. The defensemen of MF Hustlers were also effective in MANIMALS II's zone, and came away with two goals.

MF Hustlers also got points from Wong, who also grabbed two goals and three assists and Michael Kim, who also tallied one goal and one assist. MF Hustlers also got a goal from Sam Najafi as well. More assists for MF Hustlers came via Amar Hayre, who had two and Nasser Kamani and Leonard Louie, who each chipped in one.

MANIMALS II got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

MANIMALS II was led by Hussain Dhala, who racked up two goals. Dhala scored the first of his two goals at 7:09 into the first period to make the score 2-1 MF Hustlers. Amit Manhas picked up the assist. Dhala's next tally made the score 4-2 MF Hustlers with 45 seconds left in the first period. Norminder Parmar assisted on the tally. In addition, MANIMALS II received assists from Jeffrey Craigie, who had one.

Eric Wong rejected 21 shots on goal for MF Hustlers. MF Hustlers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. MANIMALS II's Sean Wasserman stopped 30 shots out of the 37 that he faced. MANIMALS II incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
