Su lifts Russian Rockets over Pointstreak Wolves, 5-3

Behind a great game by Anthony Su, who had four goals, Russian Rockets defeated Pointstreak Wolves, 5-3.

Su got on the scoresheet 4:25 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:35 into the first, at 2:08 into the second, and at 19:59 into the second.

The win gave Russian Rockets a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Russian Rockets did not rack up many penalties in the contest, finishing with only one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Russian Rockets' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in four goals.

Russian Rockets also got points from Daniel Torres, who also had one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Russian Rockets were Pardeep Bola, who had two and Nha Peter Vo, Ray R Wong, and Joe Tozzi, who contributed one each.

Pointstreak Wolves was led by Stanley HC Ho, who registered two goals. Ho scored the first of his two goals at 6:49 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Russian Rockets. Alex Lam picked up the assist. Ho's next tally made the score 4-2 Russian Rockets with 6:49 left in the second period. Aaron Loughhead provided the assist. Andrej Nemcek also scored for Pointstreak Wolves. In addition, Pointstreak Wolves received assists from Kiong Fan and Rob Morrison, who each chipped in one.

Mardin Akrawi made 18 saves for Russian Rockets on 21 shots. Russian Rockets registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Justin Cheung rejected 16 shots on goal for Pointstreak Wolves. Pointstreak Wolves incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
