The Misfits uses early goal to top HYP 2 0, 4-3

The Misfits took the lead against HYP two zero in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 4-3 victory.

The Misfits took over the lead for good with a goal by Robert Garant at 13:02 in the first period. Jordan Rolfe provided the assist.

The win gave The Misfits a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Misfits was paced on offense by Garant and ivan menjivar soriano, who combined for four points. Garant tallied two goals and menjivar soriano also added one goal and one assist.

The Misfits also got points from Samuel Wong, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and menjivar soriano, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, The Misfits received assists from Ray Eng, who had one.

HYP two zero did not rack up many penalties in the contest, registering a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time. HYP two zero got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

HYP two zero was led by Andy Wong, who had two goals. Wong scored the first of his two goals at 2:51 into the first period to make the score 1-0 HYP two zero. Joshua Sun picked up the assist. Wong's next tally made the score 3-2 The Misfits with 19:00 left in the second period. Leslie Chan also scored for HYP two zero. Other players who recorded assists for HYP two zero were Shahzada Randhawa and Jason Sharples, who each chipped in one.

Simon Zhou made 18 saves for The Misfits on 21 shots. The Misfits incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. HYP two zero's Nilesh Sharma stopped 26 shots out of the 30 that he faced. HYP two zero registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
