Saskatchewan JR Pats wins tough contest against Toronto Bulldogs, 5-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Saskatchewan JR Pats escaped with a 5-3 victory over Toronto Bulldogs.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Pavel Mckenzie's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Mckenzie was all over the ice for Saskatchewan JR Pats, as he finished with two goals in the win.

Saskatchewan JR Pats additionally got points from Riley Heidt, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Saskatchewan JR Pats also got a goal from Kalan Lind as well. Other players who recorded assists for Saskatchewan JR Pats were Noah Asmundson, who had one and Bauer Dumanski and Brayden Yager, who contributed two each.

Toronto Bulldogs managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Toronto Bulldogs wound up below its season average of 3.0 penalty minutes per game. Toronto Bulldogs did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 13 shots on net to force 10 saves. Toronto Bulldogs' normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. Toronto Bulldogs averages 2.0 goals allowed per game.

Toronto Bulldogs was helped by Luca Pinelli, who tallied one goal. Pinelli scored 6:53 into the second period to make the score 2-2. James Guo assisted on the tally. Toronto Bulldogs also got points from Guo, who also registered one goal and one assist. Carson Rehkopf also scored for Toronto Bulldogs. In addition, Toronto Bulldogs received assists from Liam Carroll, Zayne Parekh, Larry Keenan, Giacomo Martino, and Matthew Buckley, who each chipped in one.

Frank Chaboyer recorded 10 saves for Saskatchewan JR Pats. Saskatchewan JR Pats incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Matthew Doma made 18 saves for Toronto Bulldogs on 22 shots. Toronto Bulldogs registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
