Connecticut Jr Rangers survives Montreal Ice Storm comeback, wins 3-2

Montreal Ice Storm tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Connecticut Jr Rangers held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Michael Hagens put Connecticut Jr Rangers up 3-1 in the third period, but Montreal Ice Storm pulled to within one on Zakary Coutu's tally 14:01 into the third period.

Connecticut Jr Rangers was sparked by Hagens, who registered one goal. Hagens scored 7:24 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Connecticut Jr Rangers. Sean Gibbons picked up the assist.

Connecticut Jr Rangers also got points from Chase Pirtle, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Eli Friedman also scored for Connecticut Jr Rangers. In addition, Connecticut Jr Rangers received assists from Tanner Adams, James Mackey, and Ryan Sikorski, who contributed one each.

Montreal Ice Storm stifled Connecticut Jr Rangers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Montreal Ice Storm also got a goal from David Dube as well. More assists for Montreal Ice Storm came via Mathieu Cataford, who had one.

Connecticut Jr Rangers' Ryan Sanborn stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Connecticut Jr Rangers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Louis Felix Charrois rejected 12 shots on goal for Montreal Ice Storm. Montreal Ice Storm incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
