Team Brick Alberta survives Connecticut Jr Rangers comeback, wins 3-2

Connecticut Jr Rangers tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Team Brick Alberta held on for a 3-2 victory.

Team Brick Alberta took a 3-0 lead during the second period, only to have Connecticut Jr Rangers storm back on a Chase Pirtle goal 11:33 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Team Brick Alberta was helped by Colin Doherty, who finished with one goal. Doherty scored 8:00 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Team Brick Alberta. Nicholas Johnson picked up the assist. Others who scored for Team Brick Alberta included Bryton Morrow and William Christian, who each put in one. In addition, Team Brick Alberta received assists from Aiden Oiring, Tom Willander, and Caleb Leptire, who contributed one each.

Connecticut Jr Rangers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Connecticut Jr Rangers did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 12 shots on net to force 10 saves.

Connecticut Jr Rangers was helped by Logan Renkowski, who registered one goal. Renkowski scored 6:47 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Team Brick Alberta. Lucas St Louis assisted on the tally. Other players who recorded assists for Connecticut Jr Rangers were Michael Hagens, Matthew Desiderio, and Tanner Adams, who each chipped in one.

Alexander Scheiwiller recorded 10 saves for Team Brick Alberta. Team Brick Alberta incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Ryan Sanborn made 22 saves for Connecticut Jr Rangers on 25 shots. Connecticut Jr Rangers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
