Cobourg and Whitby were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Cobourg made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Tanner Sheppard at 17:30 of the second period.

Cobourg was led by Sheppard, who had one goal.

Cobourg additionally got points from Greg Powles, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cobourg also had goals scored by Tyler Doyle and Alex Mercier, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Cobourg were Nick Ainsworth and Jacob Massie, who contributed one each.

Whitby was helped by Andrew Poulias, who registered one goal. Poulias scored 2:00 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cobourg. Jake Durham picked up the assist. Whitby also got a goal from Cam Smith as well. In addition, Whitby received assists from Bryce Patterson, Taylor Bidon, and Shane Bull, who each chipped in one.

Cobourg ended with no penalties and went 1-for-0 on the power play. Whitby avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
