Cobourg gutted out a close 3-2 win against Stouffville.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Nick Ainsworth's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Cobourg was led by Ainsworth, who grabbed one goal. Ainsworth scored 14:36 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Cobourg. Sam Dunn provided the assist.

Cobourg also had goals scored by Davis Park and Paul Spadafora, who each put in one. More assists for Cobourg came via Noah Doyle, Alejandro Maese, Alex Mercier, and Tanner Sheppard, who contributed one each.

Stouffville's offense operated below its season average. Stouffville puts an average of 4.6 pucks into the net per game.

Stouffville was helped by Vaughn McCusker, who had one goal. McCusker scored 4:01 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Stouffville. Calvin Martin assisted on the tally. Stouffville also got a goal from Jack Varga as well. In addition, Stouffville received assists from Ryan Smith and Tyler Davis, who each chipped in one.

Cobourg avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. Stouffville ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
