Eastern Ontario Wild and Oakville Rangers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Eastern Ontario Wild made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Joshua Barnes's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. Barnes was all over the ice for Eastern Ontario Wild, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Barnes scored the first of his two goals at 10:47 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Eastern Ontario Wild. Tristan Turpin picked up the assist. Barnes' next tally made the score 3-2 Eastern Ontario Wild with 6:18 left in the third period. Innes Thompson provided the assist. Eastern Ontario Wild also got a goal from Mikael Bissonnette as well. Other players who recorded assists for Eastern Ontario Wild were Tucker Burke and Alexandros Rossides, who contributed one each. Oakville Rangers was led by Cameron Tolani, who racked up one goal and one assist. Tolani scored 6:09 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Luke Evangelista picked up the assist. Marcus Sang also scored for Oakville Rangers. In addition, Oakville Rangers received assists from Tanner Kelly and Robbie Strachan, who each chipped in one. Eastern Ontario Wild's starting goalie, Joe Vrbetic, made 26 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Jakob Robillard, who stopped zero shots. Eastern Ontario Wild incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Gianmichael Vallorani recorded 17 saves for Oakville Rangers. Oakville Rangers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
