Stephen Baylis was all over the ice for the Carleton Place Canadians, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Carleton Place's 8-3 win over the Pembroke Lumber Kings. Baylis got on the board by slotting home a short handed goal 5:16 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Carleton Place. The Canadians were on a disadvantage when Craig Pefley went off the ice for slashing. Andy Sturtz picked up the assist. Baylis dished an assist on Jordan Larson's goal that made the score 6-2 Carleton Place at 16:44 into the second period. He added another helper on Vinny Post's goal that made the score 7-2 Carleton Place at 2:44 into the third period.The win by Carleton Place clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. The Canadians forced Pembroke's goaltenders to work between the pipes, finishing with 37 shots and forcing 29 saves. Jordan Piccolino made 28 stops and Sean Green made one. Carleton Place excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Carleton Place also got points from Tyson Stewart, who also had two goals and one assist, Sturtz, who also registered one goal and two assists, Post, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Larson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Pefley, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Carleton Place also got a goal from Andrew Dodson as well. More assists for Carleton Place came via Devin Campbell, who had two and Alex Robinson, Connor Merkley, Maxime StPierre, and Ryker Killins, who each chipped in one. The Lumber Kings were helped by Hudson Michaelis, who registered one goal. Michaelis scored short handed 10:37 into the first period to make the score 1-1. An elbowing call on Stephen Cooney put Pembroke on the penalty kill. Jesse Blais assisted on the tally. Pembroke additionally got points from Colton Keuhl, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Ryan Casselman also scored for Pembroke. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Cameron Hughes, Anthony Nellis, and Alexandre Boivin, who contributed one each. The Canadians' Guillaume Therien stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Carleton Place incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Lumber Kings ended with 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors and two majors. For Pembroke, Mitchell Mueller and Hughes were ejected from the contest.
