The Pembroke Lumber Kings beat the Carleton Place Canadians, 6-4, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. Cameron Hughes provided Pembroke with the game-winning tally when he scored 18:59 into the first period. Alexandre Boivin provided the assist.With the win, the Lumber Kings evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown. Pembroke's penalty kill excelled, as the Lumber Kings gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. Pembroke was led by Stephen Cooney, who had two goals. Cooney scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 5:34 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Pembroke. The Lumber Kings earned a power play opportunity when Maxime StPierre was put in the box for goalie interference. Anthony Nellis picked up the assist.
