The Carleton Place Canadians were firing on all cylinders against the Cornwall Colts, and when the final buzzer sounded Canadians emerged with a 7-1 win. After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, Cornwall faces elimination next time out. Carleton Place got the win behind a great game by Maxime StPierre, who had one goal and two assists. StPierre scored 9:41 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place. Andrew Dodson picked up the assist. The Canadians' offense rang up 37 shots on the Colts' net. Carleton Place also got points from Devin Campbell, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Andy Sturtz, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Dodson, who also registered two goals and one assist. Carleton Place also had goals scored by Connor Merkley and Stephen Baylis, who scored one goal each. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Vinny Post and Ryker Killins, who each chipped in two. Cornwall was led by Grant Cooper, who scored the team's only goal. Cooper scored on the power play 8:08 into the second period to make the score 1-1. A slashing penalty on Post had put the Colts on the power play. Kevin Hope assisted on the tally. Carleton Place's Guillaume Therien stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The Canadians incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Denny Dubblestyne made 30 saves for Cornwall on 37 shots. The Colts incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors.
