The Carleton Place Canadians survived a determined comeback attempt by the Cornwall Colts on the way to a 5-4 win. A goal by Andrew Dodson put Carleton Place up 4-2 in the third period, but Cornwall pulled to within one on Ryan Patulli's tally 10:46 into the third period. The win by the Canadians broke a deadlock and gave Carleton Place a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series. Jordan Larson was all over the ice for the Canadians, as he racked up two goals in the win. Larson's tallies came at 4:15 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Carleton Place and 13:21 into the third to make the score 5-4 Carleton Place. The Colts were unable to stop Carleton Place from sending pucks towards the net, and the Canadians eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. Tyson Stewart also scored for Carleton Place. More assists for Carleton Place came via Vinny Post, Maxime StPierre, and Stephen Baylis, who contributed one each and Wesley Baker and Craig Pefley, who each chipped in two. Cornwall's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Carleton Place power plays. Cornwall also had goals scored by Tristan Conrad and Nick Lalonde, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Cornwall were Grant Cooper, who had two and Cal Hofford, Dean Derouchie, Marly Quince, Lawson MacDougall, Denny Dubblestyne, and Kevin Hope, who contributed one each. Carleton Place's Guillaume Therien stopped 24 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Canadians incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Dubblestyne rejected 39 shots on goal for the Colts. Cornwall incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
